Care

Wash your garments on a cool 30. Due to the high elastane content in our underwear, they will change shape once worn. These will recover once washed and start all over again. Wear, wash, & recover.

Returns

Returns shipping is free of charge. As soon as we receive your return we will process your refund and keep you up to date via email.

You have 30 days from the date it arrives with you to make a return.

Orders placed in December have an extended returns period - 31st January.

Knickers will be sent with a gusset liner for hygiene, which must not be removed unless you decide to keep them. Items must be returned in their original condition with tags attached. Anything returned with deodorant or make up marks will not be eligible for a refund and will be returned back to you. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 10 days. Shipping fees cannot be refunded.

Sadly, we are unable to offer exchanges at this time.

Items which were purchased in a set cannot be refunded singly, the whole set must be returned.

Shipping

Where do you ship to?

Currently only the UK

Royal Mail 48 hours £4.40 or free for orders over £75.

Royal Mail 24 hours £6. Order must be placed before 2pm.

Do I have to be home to receive the parcel?

No, we purposely chose postable packaging- no need to wait for the postman or sign anything.

My package hasn’t arrived, what shall I do?

When your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with tracking details. Our packages are postable so you will not have to sign for them. If it is not tracking properly or not arrived when promised, please email us at help@themuthaproject.com

When are orders dispatched?

Orders are shipped Monday- Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Where are you garments made?

Our fabric is knitted in Italy and finished by our sewing partner in Romania.

How is ECONYL® made?

ECONYL® is created by:

RESCUE: rescuing waste from fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet and industrial plastic from all over the world. The waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all the nylon possible.

REGENERATE: Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. That means ECONYL® regenerated nylon is exactly the same as virgin nylon.

REMAKE: The regenerated nylon is processed into yarns and polymers for the fashion industry.

REMAGINE: ECONYL® regenerated nylon has the potential to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality.

Is The Mutha Project for pregnant women?

Our original intention was to create underwear for pregnancy, however once we found our factory with the technology to create fabric with so much stretch, we have actually created flexible underwear for all stages on womanhood. Essentially underwear which could grow with you should you decide to have a baby.

Can I Mix & Match styles/sizes?

100%. We have used the same knitted detail across all styles so whichever colour and underwear mix you go for they will look related.

Can you help me decide on sizing?

We would LOVE to help you. Just ping us a message and we can have a chat here.

Can I breastfeed in these bras?

You could drop your strap on the scoop or pull your bra to the side on the plunge.

Will the knickers irritate my c section incision?

Our Founder had two c sections, so this was on the forefront of her mind during the fitting process. Both styles will be gentle enough to sit over your scar. The High Waist Ultra has a little extra support which will help with recovery. We would suggest waiting 6 weeks postpartum for this style. 

Why ‘Made For Life’?

Our lives, potentially the life you are growing and the fact our underwear can be regenerated and given a new life. It just suited what we are about. 

Why should I buy The Mutha Project over nursing bras which I could wear when the baby arrives?

Ironically the fact that you could only buy nursing maternity bras was the reason Giorgina our founder started The Mutha Project. Why wear a nursing bra when you aren’t nursing? There is also a stigma in still wearing your nursing bras past nursing, the clips a reminder of their original purpose. The main reason why we live in our “maternity” underwear for so long afterwards is because we can’t quite fit into the pre baby underwear. The Mutha Project will be with you the whole way through your journey and designed to stay with you beyond- guilt free.

Ordering

Can I cancel or amend my order?

Please contact as soon as possible so we can make any changes for you. We will be unable to do so once the order has left the building.

When will my order be dispatched?

We aim to send all orders within 1-2 business days of placing the order. Orders are sent out Monday-Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Gift Cards

Available as physical cards or can be emailed to the recipient.

They will expire after 365 days of receipt  

Discount Codes

My discount code isn’t working?

Discount codes will not work in conjunction with any discounted offerings such as bundles. If you are still having problems please email us at help@themuthaproject.com

Packaging

We have made a conscious effort to keep our packaging to a minimum. Still exciting, just without the excess. Oh and plastic free of course!

There is another glue strip should you need to return or can use it to post something else.

Do you have a physical store?

Not yet, however we plan for pop ups. Sign up to our newsletter to stay in the loop.

Sales

Will you have sales?

We don’t think it’s fair to buy something full price for it to end up in the sale shortly after, therefore we offer discounts all year round with our bundles. These are the most cost-effective way of indulging in The Mutha Project.

Technical

I’m having trouble with your website, help!

For any issues with our website, we would advise clearing cookies and cache or trying a different browser as this can sometimes do the trick. Or the classic turning it off and on again. Failing that contact us at help@themuthaproject.com

I haven’t received an order confirmation email.

Sometimes our emails can end up in spam/junk folders depending on your email settings, so it might be worth checking these folders if you haven’t done so already. If you’re still unable to locate the email then please get in touch with our Customer Care team via help@themuthaproject.com, and they’ll be able to investigate this further.
